Mission
The Department of Mental Health and Counseling Services creates a campus environment that is safe, growth fostering, and prioritizes the psychological, social, and emotional well-being of our college community. Employing a holistic approach to mental health, the Department of Mental Health and Counseling Services offers confidential, individual and group mental health services to students, as well as programming, outreach, and psychoeducation initiatives to the broader College community.
What is Mental Health and Counseling Services and who is it for?
We are a mental health resource for students currently enrolled in classes at Westchester Community College. Licensed Mental Health Professionals provide free, short-term support for students who are struggling with issues including depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, adjustment, and a range of other personal challenges.

Eligibility
The Department of Mental Health and Counseling Services provides clinical mental health services to currently enrolled Westchester Community College undergraduate students. Alumni and prospective students are not eligible for individual or group mental health services. Certain non-clinical programs including trainings, workshops, and presentations may be open to non-students (ie: faculty, staff, alumni, and family members).
