Academic Counselor or Faculty Advisor

When to Complete this Step?

Meet with an academic counselor as soon as you have completed placement requirements (including waivers). Developing a plan for completing your degree with the help of an Academic Counselor or Faculty Advisor is critical to your success. You can see the name and email address of the Academic Counselor, Faculty Advisor, or office to which you have been assigned for advising on your Degree Works audit. General Academic Counselors are available in Valhalla, Peekskill, Yonkers, and Mount Vernon. If you are a continuing students in EOP, TRIO, Quest for Success, or Viking ROADS you are required to meet with your assigned Academic Counselor in your program in order to register.

Academic Support Center

Ongoing tutorial assistance

The goal of the Academic Support Center is to help students become successful, confident, independent learners. The ASC provides ongoing tutorial assistance for students taking remedial/developmental and college courses in Math, Reading, ESL, Science, Physics, Computer Science, and Writing.
